Spain is a large country: from central Italy to Madrid it is roughly 1,800 km by road. The pallet travels entirely by truck along the Mediterranean Corridor, through southern France (Provence, Languedoc, Roussillon), and crosses into Spain via Catalonia. Delivery typically takes 10 working days. Longer than Germany or France, but on a well-established and predictable route.
Barcelona is the main entry point from Italy: from Catalonia the distribution branches out to the rest of the country, with dense logistics zones around El Prat Airport and in towns like Subirats, Rubí and Molins de Rei. Madrid is Spain's largest consumer market and the national distribution hub. Valencia serves the south-eastern Mediterranean, the furniture and ceramics industry and the agri-export sector. Can I ship a pallet to the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla?
To the Balearics yes: Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza are served with a dedicated price list. The Canary Islands are not, partly because of their special tax and customs status. For Ceuta and Melilla, contact us before ordering.
How should I write the delivery address in Spain?
Spain has several regional co-official languages (Catalan in Catalonia, Valencian in the Valencian Community, Basque in the Basque Country, Galician in Galicia). For addresses, the Spanish (Castilian) version is sufficient and understood by all local carriers throughout the country. For destinations in Catalonia, the Catalan spelling is also acceptable (Lleida, Girona, L'Hospitalet).
Can I ship a pallet to Spain as a private individual?
Yes. The typical case is someone relocating to Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia for work or study who ships furniture or household goods on a pallet without organising a full removal. Pickup also works at a private address, as long as the pallet is accessible for the courier.
Is customs documentation required for Spain?
No. Italy and Spain are part of the EU, and the transit through France changes nothing: no duties, no customs declaration, including for the Balearic Islands. The only document is the transport document, which you receive after payment and attach to the pallet.
