Chilean postal codes have seven digits but are often left out in everyday use: what matters most for delivery is the comuna, the administrative unit written below the street. If the recipient knows the code, include it anyway, as it speeds up sorting. Once the form is completed and paid online, you print the transport document and hand the parcel to the courier at pickup.

Shipping time to Chile
Transit to Chile takes 9 to 12 working days. Deliveries to Santiago and the central zone are the fastest, while the far north and Patagonia may need a few extra days. Keep in mind the Fiestas Patrias in mid-September and the summer holidays in January and February, when the country slows down and customs volumes pile up.
Shipping to Chile: the most common questions
Do I need a postal code to ship to Chile?
No, it is not mandatory. Many Chilean addresses circulate without one, and couriers rely on the comuna and the city. If the recipient gives you the seven-digit code, add it: it makes sorting faster.
Do you deliver to the far south and the north of Chile?
Yes. Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt, La Serena, Temuco and Antofagasta are all covered, like the rest of the country. The price stays the same, only transit to the remote zones takes a few days longer.
Can I send samples and spare parts to a Chilean company?
Yes, it is a frequent request. Wineries, farms and mining companies receive components and samples from Italy. Prepare the commercial invoice: customs needs it for import.
Customs information for Chile
Shipments to Chile require customs clearance and are subject to import duties and taxes. europacco.com prepares the export documents, while the recipient must cooperate with the local customs office for the import process.
Required documents: commercial or proforma invoice, declaration of free export, and a copy of the sender’s ID. Accurate documentation speeds up clearance and helps prevent the shipment from being held.
Duties in Chile depend on the declared value and the type of goods. To learn more about how to correctly complete customs documents and specific national rules, see our customs information guide.
