Shipping to Ecuador with europacco
Ecuadorian addresses follow a logic of their own, and an example explains it better than any rule. A 5 kg parcel with fabrics and accessories for the stage costumes of the Teatro Nacional Sucre in Quito travels with this address:
Teatro Nacional SucreManabí N8-131 y Guayaquil
Quito
ECUADOR
The house number is alphanumeric: the N in N8-131 marks the sector north of the historic centre. After the main street comes the nearest cross street, introduced by "y". Here the cross street happens to be called Guayaquil, just like the city. A six-digit postal code exists but hardly anyone uses it: enter it if the recipient knows it, otherwise street, junction and city are enough. Fill in the form with these details, pay online and print the transport document before pickup.

Shipping time to Ecuador
Allow 8 to 11 working days. SENAE, the Ecuadorian customs authority, checks the content and value of incoming shipments, and an inspection can add a few days. Around Carnival and in the closing weeks of the year volumes rise and transit times stretch. For destinations in the Amazon lowlands, the domestic leg counts for more than the intercontinental flight.
What customers ask about shipping to Ecuador
How do I send a parcel from Italy to Guayaquil?
You place the order online and the courier collects the parcel at your address in Italy. Delivery goes straight to the recipient's door, in Guayaquil as in the other coastal cities from Manta to Machala. It is the most requested route to Ecuador, thanks to the large Ecuadorian community living between Genoa and Milan.
Do I need a postal code to ship to Ecuador?
No. The six-digit system is official but rarely used, and couriers navigate by street, cross street and city. Ask the recipient for the nearest junction and, if they know it, the code: every extra detail makes delivery easier.
Do you deliver to the Galapagos Islands?
The Galapagos apply very strict biosecurity controls to everything entering the archipelago, to protect a unique ecosystem. Before ordering a shipment to the islands, write to our customer service: we will assess content and feasibility together.
Customs information for Ecuador
Shipments to Ecuador require customs clearance and are subject to import duties and taxes. europacco.com prepares the export documents, while the recipient must cooperate with the local customs office for the import process.
Required documents: commercial or proforma invoice, declaration of free export, and a copy of the sender’s ID. Accurate documentation speeds up clearance and helps prevent the shipment from being held.
Duties in Ecuador depend on the declared value and the type of goods. To learn more about how to correctly complete customs documents and specific national rules, see our customs information guide.
